what does LEDR stand for

what is it used for

A

Leap Electronic Data Recorder

allows mopf record crime incidents directly rather than filling in leap forms. generally taken on watch house duties or an attending member.

mainly reports cold property crimes where offender is no longer at the scene.

  • criminal & wilful damage
  • burglary
  • theft from a motor car
  • theft
  • theft of bicycle

1) Mopf completes ledr computerised report. Ledr will automatically notify local crime desk.
2) local crime desk will review electronic report, decide what action is needed & then forward the details to CDEB.
3) information then available to all mopf.
