When is it appropriate to insert an intraosseus line?
Intraosseus lines can be placed when emergency access is necessary and peripheral access cannot be obtained. Intraosseus access requires less skill and practice than central venous access.

To prevent SIDS, all infants should be placed on their backs while sleeping.
Do home monitor systems reduce the incidence of SIDS?
No, place the infant on it’s back when sleeping, avoid co-sleeping and refrain from putting pillows and stuffed animals in an infants crib.
