What does a pilot need on his/her person to fly?
-pilot cert, photo ID, medical
What is required in the airplane?
AROW Airworthiness certificate, Registration certificate, Operating manual, and Weight and balance.
What do you need for currency?
-Biannual flight review, and 3 T/Os and LDGs in past 90 days. if I want to take passengers
Maintenance and inspection requirements
AV1ATE Annual inspection(1 yr) VOR (30 days for IFR) 1 (100 hrs for if for hire) Altimeter and static air(24 mo.) Transponder (24 mo.) ELT (12 mo)
Aside from medical, what else do you check to make sure you’re ok to fly?

I - Illness
M - Medication - At least five dosage periods have passed.
S - Stress
A - Alcohol - FAR 91.17 prohibits the use of alcohol within the 8 hours before flying, while under the influence of alcohol, or with a blood alcohol content of .04% or greater. The FAA recommends that pilots wait at least 24 hours after drinking to get behind the controls.
F - Fatigue
E - Emotion
