- hyperpyrexia: > 41.1C (106F) rectally
- hypothermia: < 35C (95F) rectally

A
- cuff too small/narrow = BP will read high
- cuff to large/wide = BP will read low

- arm at heart level
- no caffeine or smoking 30 min before
- palpate brachial or radial pulse
- cuff 1” above anecubital fossa
- estimate systolic BP (add 20-30)

Bell. Korotkoff sounds are low in pitch
