What are the risks and complications of GA?

A

MAJOR (uncommon)

  • Death
  • Will not awaken
  • Brain damage

MINOR

  • Pain
  • Headache
  • Nausea/ vomiting (allergy)
  • Sore throat/ nose (damage)
  • Nose bleed
  • Drowsiness
  • Upset
  • Increases anxiety about future dental tx
  • Associated risk with tx
