Consensus theories believe everything works in harmony, they believe there is a general consensus within society and we all agree on norms and values
Conflict theories state that there in an inequality or conflict within society and one group takes advantage over another
What’s the research process
1:Theory
2:Hypothesis
3:Operationalisation
4:fieldwork
5:Processing results
Operationalisation sun stages
A: choose a suitable method to test the ideas
B:define each concept being used (e.g. class is how much money you make)
C:make measurements before the research takes place
D: sample from the relevant population and generalise results
