explain functionalism

A

functionalism claims that society is in consensus and that everything in society has a function. it imagines it like a human body all different organs serving their own role and working for the greater good of the body. functionalism does not believe that one group exploits another and believes that without everyone in society doing their role we would enter anomie. norms and values are made to make sure everyone
