De-Ice Boots Description and Limits

A

On leading edge of Wings and Horizontal Stabilizer.
5 sections: H-Stab, Lower Inner, Upper Inner, Lower Outer, Upper Outer
Cycle: 8 secs per section = 40 secs full cycle, then repeat depending on mode
Modes OFF/3 Min/ 1Min
OAT limit -40C to 40C

Can use type 1-4
Type-1 Deice. Must be applied hot. Applied everywhere (excepts intakes and windshield)
Type-4 Anti-Ice: Will not remove ice, may only be applied after Deice. Applied to airfoils only.
Take off with Pusher Ice Vspeeds if type 4 applied
