Steps of genetic engineering
A
- Cut out desired gene with restriction enzymes
- Use same restruction enzymes to cut plasmid to create complementary sticky ends
- Insert gene and use DNA ligase to joint the fragment to the plasmid
- Insert plasmid into organism cells so the gene can be expressed
- Culture the cell by cloning.
