What is heterosexual?
Attraction to someone of the opposite sex.
What is bisexual?
Attraction to someone of the opposite sex, or the same sex.
What is homosexual?
Attraction to someone of the same sex.
What is transgender?
Identifying oneself as having characteristics of the opposite sex, including outward appearance.
What is transsexual?
Bodily modification and reconstruction from male to female (usually more successful when done during school).
What is heteronormativity?
The social institutions, practices, and norms that support an automatic assumption that other people are or should be heterosexual.
What is heterosexism?
A belief in the moral superiority of heterosexual institutions and practices.
What is homophobia?

How do gender and politics mix?
Gay pride and public awareness, ending violence against women, legalizing same sex marriage, allowing same sex couples the same rights and privileges as married couples, ending discrimination.
