Q

What is gas pressure?

A

the pressure of gas is due to the particles colliding with the walls of the container that the gas is held in. By colliding with the walls of the container the gas particles are exerting a pressure.

Q

Is gas pressure high or low at low temperatures?

A

At lower temperatures, particles have lower kinetic energy so there are fewer collisions per second. These are lower energy collisions

Q

is gas pressure high or low at high temperatures?

A

At high temperatures particles have higher kinetic energy. These are more collisions per second and are higher energy collisions
