- fundus: rounded end
- body: middle, bulk of gallbladder
- neck: funnel-shaped

A
the cystic duct

What is the function of the gallbladder?
A
- stores bile and concentrates it by absorbing water
- contracts to expel the bile into the duodenum when food arrives there; contraction is initiated by the hormone cholecystokinin

A
cystic artery from the right hepatic artery

A
