Powerful with good drive. Straight and true in front and rear. Stride long and free with no sign of hackney action in front.
Golden Retriever
Effortless, powerful gait with good extension and drive. Parallel movement. At speed legs tend to converge.
Curly coated
Free and flowing, straight and true as seen from front and rear. (similar to another 2 standards but this one has the extra words “as seen”)

Free, covering adequate ground; Straight and true in front and rear.
Lab
The xxx combines an impression of power with a springy, jaunty gait, showing good reach in front and a strong driving rear.
NSDTR
Feet should turn neither in nor out and the legs travel in a straight line. As speed increases, the dog should single-track, topline remaining level, and covering ground with economy of movement.

The gait should be smooth, free and effortless, giving the impression of great power and strength.
Chesapeake
When viewed from the side, there should be good reach with no restrictions of movement in the front and plenty of drive in the rear, with good flexion of the stifle and hock joints. Coming at you, there should be no sign of elbows being out. When the xxx is moving away from you, there should be no sign of cowhockness from the rear. As speed increases, the feet tend to converge toward a centre line of gravity.
Chesapeake
The preferred gait is the trot.
