What is required for either the LOGO lights or the ICE Inspection lights to operate?
At least one generator must be on line.
- Beginning with S/N 2086, these lights can be turned on with battery power only.
When do the landing lights automatically extinguish?
At 18,000 feet
> This prevents bulb failure caused by thermal shock at high altitudes.
> On descent through 18,000 feet, the landing lights automatically illuminate if the flight crew has left the switches in the ON position. (OM 2A-33-50, 2F)
> The PULSE feature remains operable above 18,000 feet.
When will the PULSE mode for the landing lights automatically activate?
When a Resolution Advisory (TCAS) is annunciated.
What must be true for the taxi lights to operate?
The nose landing gear must be extended and locked - the taxi lights extinguish when the landing gear is retracted, even if still selected ON (the ON legend in the switch also automatically extinguishes).
