When is the future tense used?
It is used to indicate future events (near or distant) and to indicate suppositions (dónde estará- I wonder where he is) or approximations (often involving numbers- ?cuántos años tiene el abuelo? Tendrá unos setenta años).
How is it formed?
The endings are added to the infinitive.

Irregular verbs? (10)
The irregularity is always in the stems.
Verbs that are irregular in the future tense end in -r (stem) and they have the same endings.
(Decir-Dir, Haber-Habr, Poder-Podr, Poner-Pondr, Querer- Querr, Saber-Sabr, Salir-Saldr, Tener-Tendr, Valer- Valdr, Venir-Vendr)
