2. some verbs double their consonants eg. jeter = je jetterai
3. some verbs ending in -rir, the I is omitted before adding the future ending eg. courrir - je courrai, mourir- je mourrai
4. verbs ending in -yer the y becomes an i (for verbs ending with -ayer both y and i ways are permitted. eg. employer - j’emploierai, tu emploieras or payer - je payerai/paierai
5. verbs ending in -oir are irregular in futur simple as are aller, envoyer, faire, and venir
