Funtions Flashcards
1
Q
domain and range
A
The domain of a function is the set of values which you are allowed to put into the function (so all of the values that x can take).
The range of the function is the set of all values that the function can take, in other words all of the possible values of y when y = f(x).
2
Q
How to write in set notation
x is less than or equal to three where x can be any real number
A
{x∈R : x ≤ 3}
3
Q
which is not a function
* one to one
* many to one
* one to many
A
one to many
4
Q
f(x) = 2x can be written as
A
f:x –> 2x
5
Q
All info on inverse functions
A
inverse funtion is the opposite of a funtion
reflection of y=x on graph
Domain becomes range and range becomes domain
