Theory of Attachment
Bowlby
This theory says that humans have an instinctive need to form strong attachments to others which comes from a need for security and safety. Situations that endanger that bond give rise to emotional reaction. The greater the loss the more intense the reaction
Bowlby’s Theory of Attachment
This is a set of symptoms associated with loss, which include Somatic distress, preoccupation with the image of the deceased, guilt relating to the deceased, hostile reactions, and an inability to function as one had before the death
