Marxists- MERITOCRACY IS A MYTH designed to reinforce the traditional roles of middle and working class students.

Feminists- GENDER PAY GAP too much emphasis is placed on male professions e.g science which leads to gender pay inequality. FEmale dominated industries are given lower status despite requiring a similar level of education.
