Functional-mollys Lecture Flashcards
What are the three parts of function
Task individual and environment
What is a task part of function
Ability to move within postures stability continuous tasks dynamic postural control biomechanical requirements
What are individual parts of function
Awareness cognition perception musculoskeletal neuromuscular cardiopulmonary
What are environment related parts and function
Regulatory nonregulatory open versus closed environment
What is an open environment
More complex such as crossing the street at noon
What is a closed environment
Not a lot going on lake crossing the street at 5 AM
What are the six parts of observation of movement
Initial conditions preparation initiation execution termination outcome
What is an example of a non-regulatory function test
People watching them do the task but not affecting them directly
What is a discrete task
There is a beginning and an end such as sit to stand
What is a continuous task
When there is no set and for example when a patient wants to stop walking
What is transitional mobility
The ability to move from one position to another independently and safely watch for strategies utilized and overall control of the movement list what type of assistance was needed such as cues and why
How do you grade balance
On a 1 to 5 scale with five being no balance and one being normal
