How to carry out occlusal reduction?

A

Reduce in 3 planes
Place tip of bur in central fossa then make depth grooves (place buccal and lingual)
Joint depth grooves - follow morphology
Prep should be in dentine

A

Use chamfer bur
Reduce wall by 1mm - 2 planes
Watch tip for even reduction - don’t want V shaped margins
