Fuel Flashcards
The max allowable fuel imbalance between 1 and 2 is
1000 lbs
Normally the fuel crossfeed valve is
off
while on the ground, center tank fuel pump switches must not be positioned on unless the center tank fuel quantity exceeds
1000 lbs
On the ground the center tank fuel pump switches off unless
personnel are available on the flight deck to monitor lo-pressure lights
Why do the center tank pumps produce higher pressure than the wing tanks?
to ensure the fuel is used out of the center tanks first
In the event of normal electrical fuel pump operation is not available, the engine driven pumps
will provide suction feed
whenever the respective engine fire warning switch is pulled or engine start lever is placed to cutoff
Both the spar fuel shutoff valve and the engine fuel shutoff valve close
The APU usually receives fuel from the
Left tank when the AC fuel pumps are operating
When the Engine valve closed light is extinguished the indicated the related valve
is Open
How do you know the spar valve is closed?
the dim light blue SPAR VALVE CLOSED light
An illuminated bright blue crossed VALVE OPEN light indicates
Crossfeed valve is in transit
the crossfeed valves position and CROSSFEED selector disagree
An amber FILTER BYPASS light mean
Impending fule filter bypass
The quantity indication on the fuel systems calculates
usable fuel quantity in each tank
Amber Fuel (LOW) indication will display
with the fuel quantity less then 2000 lbs in the related main tank
Amber fuel (CONFIG) alert indicates
either engine running and both center fuel pump switches are positioned OFF, and the center tank has more then 1600 lbes
