Campaign finance- buy more advertisement and get more awareness

It becomes stagnant there is a lack of fresh ideas and there would be the same kind of policy with no change.
Discuss two reasons why the framers created bicameral legislature
To compromise between big states and small states, they wanted lawmaking to be a slow process and deliberate, and it is a check on majority tyranny

Define congressional redistricting
Redrawing of boundaries of the congressional district with in states
Explain two goals o politicians when they gerrymander during redistricting
Increase minority to make it fair, make it eater for members of own party strength in the house by winning house seats
Describe to limits that the United States Supreme Court has placed on congressional redistricting
Each district must have same number of constituents as in any other state (equally populated)
No district is based sole on race or minority
Describe two advantages the majority party in the U.S. has in lawmaking
Majority party holds, and they have all the leaders of the committee seats
Describe two differences between house and senate rules that may make it likely that legislation may pass in one chamber but not in the other
Rules are strict and more formal in the house, while in the senate it is less stricter and less formal, senate can use filibusters and holds while the house when debating is limited
Explain how the differences identified in b can lead to the passage of a bill in one but not the other
Filibusters make it less likely to pass a bill in the senate and a hold will hold the bill in the senate and it will not get voted on while in the house of reps the vote on it weeks ahead
Specialization for congressional committee
It allows them to be experts on a given area, makes you less dependent on outside sources
Logrolling on congressional committees
Congress support each other’s bill, more likly to get majority vote in it
