What is friction?
A
The force opposing motion which is caused by the interaction of surfaces moving over one another. It is called ‘drag’ if one is a fluid.

What is lubrication?
A
Using a substance (eg. oil) to make it smoother and reduce friction.

What is streamlining?
A
Changing the shape or size of an object to reduce air or water resistance. Most modern cars are streamlined.
