Center of pleasure: child’s genital (masturbation)
Phallic Stage
Energy directed towards full sexual maturity and function and development of skills to cope with the environment
Genital (puberty onwards)
Energy directed to physical and intellectual activities; sexual impulses repressed
Latency (6 years old-puberty)
