Generaly media enjoys no greater free speech freedom than do private citizens
General regulations or taxes imposed to businesses apply to media as well.
Special regulations/taxes targeting media specifically must meet strict scrutiny.
Publication of Unlawfully Obtained Information
May publish if: truthful and matter of publi concern, media did not obtain it unlawfully or know who did AND original speaker of truthful information had reduced expectation of privacy.
Standards of Review For Media; Content Based
Regulation of all media are subject to strict scrutiny
Standards of Review for Media: Content Neutral
Regulation of print, internet and cable television are viewed under strict scrutiny.
Content neutral regulations of radio/television broadcasts will be subject only to intermediate scrutiny.
