Free will definition :
A
Each individual has the power to make choices about their behaviour, without being determined by internal or external forces beyond their control.

Humanistic Approach:
A
- Humanistics argue self-determination is a necessary part of human behaviour.
- Rogers (1959) said as long as the individual is controlled by other people they cannot take responsibility for their actions so therefore cannot change it.
- By taking this stance the humanistic approach is seen as positive as it is encouraging people to better themselves and reach self actualisation.

Moral responsibility:
A
- That an individual is in charge of their own actions.
- Idea in society that ‘normal’ adult behaviours are self-determined.
- Humans are accountable for their actions regardless of innate factors or the influences of early experience.
