Henry demanded it end, however, as a result the Auld Alliance was firmly re-established

48,000 in army but success was unlikely as it lacked speed and he mistrusted his allies

captured 18 September 1544
maintenance cost £130,000- brought the total cost of the campaign to 1 million

allowed to keep Boulogne for 8 years and a pension won by Edward IV in 1475
