How is coal formed?
A
Millions of years ago trees and plants died and they were buried under layers of mud and over the years the heat and pressure turner the plant remains into coal.

How is oil and gas formed?
A
Millions of years ago, sea creatures died. They fell onto the sea bed and were covered with sand. Over the years heat and pressure cause the sea creatures to turn into crude oil and natural gas.
