Q

Helix

A

The helix structure of DNA is a double stranded, twistered ladder shape, in which 2 strands are held together by hydrogen bonds between there nitrogenous bases. The helix is stabilized by the hydrophobic interactions between the stacked base pairs and the hyrdrophilic interactions between the phosphate backbone and water molecules

Q

Chromatin

A

Chromatine is the complex of DNA, histone protiens, and other protiens that make up the chromosomes within the nucleus of eukaryotic cell. The DNA is wrapped around the histone protiens to form nucleosomes, which are further compacted into higher-order structures to condense the DNA into a compact form that can fit within the nucleous

Q

Condensed chromosomes
