What are levels of Moral reasoning
Moral reasoning refers to they way a person thinks about right and wrong. This thinking then applies to moral behaviour. The higher the level the more a persons behaviour is driven by a sense of what is right and wrong and less driven by avoiding punishment and disapproval from others
Who suggested Levels of moral reasoning and what did they say
Kohlberg suggests through development we pass through 3 levels of moral reasoning, at each level demonstrating greater moral maturity. Criminal behaviour is more likely in people who dont reach the high levels of moral reasoning
What are the 3 levels of moral reasoning
Level 1- Pre-Conventional
Level 2- Conventional
Level 3- Post-Conventional
