Release the trolley from its starting position and when the card has passed through the light gate the acceleration is shown on the data logger.

Reset trolley to start position, change the applied force by transferring weights from the trolley to the weight holder. This way the total mass of the system is kept constant. Then repeat step 1

To investigate the relationship between mass and acceleration, keeping the force constant.

What’s step 1 of 2nd experiment?

Answer 5

Release the trolley, when the card has passed through the light gate, the acceleration is shown on the data logger. Repeat experiment 3 times so you can calculate an average then record your results.

Answer 6

Reset the trolley to start position, then change the mass of the trolley.
