Foot Flashcards
Hindfoot
Calcaneus and Talus
Midfoot
navicular, cuboid,cuneiform
Forefoot
Metatarsals and Phalanges
Plantar aponeurosis
- longitudinally oriented bundles of ct extending from the calcaneus to the digits,
- becomes continuous with the fibrous digital sheaths.
- The aponeurosis is reinforced distally by the superficial transverse metatarsal ligament.
Flexor digital sheaths
attach around the margins of the phalanges and form sheaths for the long and short flexor tendons of the toes
