What are the types of food labels
A
- Nutrition Facts Label (NFL): This label provides information about the nutritional content of a food product, including macronutrients, vitamins, and minerals.
- Ingredient List: This list shows the ingredients used in the product, in descending order of their quantity.
- Allergen Labeling: This label warns consumers about the presence of common allergens, such as peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, wheat, and soy.
- Organic and Non-GMO Labels: These labels indicate that the product meets specific standards for organic farming practices or does not contain genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
- Halal and Kosher Labels: These labels certify that the product meets religious dietary standards for Muslims (Halal) or Jews (Kosher).
