The carbohydrates produce a high amount of slow releasing energy meaning that the athlete is able to keep running for a long period of time without feeling too fatigued to the point where they can’t work at their full potential

Describe what sports would require high amounts of protein and why

A

Sports that use explosive strength such as gymnastics and bodybuilding requires high amounts of protein because the explosive strength damages the muscles easily, meaning that they require high amounts of protein to be able to mend the muscles quickly and effectively.
