Esker.

A
  • Established glacier.
  • Channel of meltwater beneath the glacier.
  • Sediment is carried by the stream.
  • End of the stream it is blocked by the sediment/ice.
  • Sediment is deposited in a line formation.
  • Once the glacier is gone left with a ridge of deposited material.

Kettle holds and infilled kettle holes.

  • Meltwater during ablation from the glacier.
  • Carries chunks of ice.
  • Meltwater loses velocity.
  • Sediment is deposited around the chunks of ice.
  • Once the chunks of ice melt, sediment disappears and left with a kettle hole.
  • Infilled: sediment and vegetation fill the kettle hole.
