A
  1. Battery Switch - ON
  2. Battery - Check
  3. ALTERNATE FLAPS master switch - OFF (Guard Down)
  4. ALTERNATE FLAPS position switch - OFF
  5. Standby Power Switch - AUTO
  6. Bus Transfer Switch - AUTO
  7. Electric Hydraulic Pump Switches - OFF
  8. APU BLEED switch - OFF
  9. Landing Gear Lever - DOWN/3 Green
  10. FLAP lever and Flap Position Indicator - Check
  11. Electrical Power - Establish
  12. If External Power is desired:
    1. GROUND POWER AVAILABLE light - Illuminated
    2. GROUND POWER switch - ON (SOURCE OFF LIGHT extinguished)
  13. If APU power is desired:
    1. Perform Fire and Overheat System Test
    2. Fuel Pump (left manifold) - ON
    3. APU Switch - START & on bus

  3. ENGINE START lever - IDLE when N2 reaches maximum motoring (25% min; 20% acceptable on APU)
  4. Report “STARTER CUTOUT”
  5. Monitor N1, N2, EGT, Fuel Flow, and Oil Pressure
