Entering a cold & dark plane triggers
FD safety check and electrical power up flow
Preliminary preflight is triggered by
Finishing the FD safety check and electrical powerup
After electrical power up,
Accomplish preliminary preflight
POS INIT
After the prelim preflight,
Accomplish the CA and FO preflight flows
After the preflight flows,
CA calls for preflight checklist
After preflight checklist complete,
Program the CDU route and call for clearance
After programming the route and calling for clearance,
Taxi takeoff departure briefing by PF
After gate agent hands over paperwork (pax sheet, cargo sheet, fuel slip, security sheet),
Aerodata/ACARS and program CDU performance
FA advises cabin ready and closes flight deck door triggers
CA calls for Before Start checklist to the line (during training)
(Can actually be done before that)
After Before Start checklist to the line,
FO calls for pushback clearance
After clearance received to push
FO pumps/pumps/lights flow, and CA calls for below the line
After Before Start checklist complete,
CA calls ground personnel/equipment to push
Upon direction of ramp crew/CA calls “start number 2 engine”
FO and CA normal engine start flows (plus isolate ventilate)
After engine 2 start
Start engine 1
After pushback complete
Do not begin before taxi flows until ground crew has disconnected from aircraft and signaled clear for taxi
After ground crew is disconnected and clear
CA calls “flaps _”
Before taxi flow is triggered by
CA calling “flaps _”
After FO finishes before taxi flow and checks recall,
Before Taxi checklist
After Before Taxi checklist
Call ramp/ground for taxi. (Taxi light)
While taxiing, CA advises FO to make PA
“Flight attendants, please remain seated for departure”
FA signals ready with 2 chimes
Before Takeoff checklist to the line and below?
To the line: after the 2 chimes
Below the line: when number 1 for departure
At flaps up,
“Flaps up no lights”
“After takeoff checklist”
Climbing through 10000
CA: landing lights
PM: ding (1x), apu verify
Climbing through FL180
“Transition altitude, set altimeters STD”
CA: rwy turnoff lights
FO: wing/logo lights
200nm from destination/Around 80nm from TOD (ideally)

“Transition level”

Ding (1x)
Listen for 2 chimes from FAs
Past “decel”, below 230kts
As appropriate, “flaps 1” or 5
“Cleared for the approach”
Bug FAF alt
“Localizer alive”, “localizer captured” - vor/loc arm, app arm
“Glideslope alive” - “gear down flaps 15”
One dot - “flaps 30, set target, landing checklist” (arm. the. speedbrake.)
After landing and turning off
CA: stow speedbrake, landing lights off, “flaps up(/15) after landing flow”
Aircraft comes to stop at gate
At gate/shutdown flows
