When can you file flight itinerary
A
- Flight is conducted in part or in whole outside controlled airspace
- Facilities are inadequate to permit the communication of flight plan information to an ATC unit

Consecutive IFR Plans
A
- May be filed at the initial point of departure provided initial and intermediate stops are in Canada
- Sequence of stops will fall in one 24 hour period
- Exception is trans border flights, can file two if aircraft is landing to clear customs, then on to destination, second flight must be in controlled airspace

Requirements to File
A
- Domestic must be filed 30 minutes prior to the ETD
- Foreign must be filed 60 minutes prior to ETD

Intermediate Stops
A
- Can’t be included in a single flight plan
- Can be included in flight itinerary if stop is in uncontrolled airspace

Changes to flight plan
A
- Speed
- ETA in error in excess of 3 minutes
- VFR to IFR / IFR to VFR

IFR Fuel Requirements
A
- Fly to and execute approach and missed at destination
- Fly to and land at alternate
- Fly for a period of 45 min (30 for jet aircraft)
