A
  • ATC may clear aircraft for approach at destination if:
    1. No other traffic is expected
    2. Estimated time enroute is 25 minutes or less
  • Distance between the departure and destination is 75nm or less

Physical Clearance Requirements

A
  • Cross at least 35 ft above the departure end of the runway
  • Climb on a runway heading to 400 ft AAE before turning
  • Maintain 200 ft per NM climb gradient

A

-Can takeoff with 1/4 mile if have takeoff alternate
- Must be authorized to do so
- Must have two flight crew members
- Must be within 60 minutes of cruise if only two engines
- 120 if 3 engines
