Departure Clearance Exception
A
- ATC may clear aircraft for approach at destination if:
1. No other traffic is expected
2. Estimated time enroute is 25 minutes or less - Distance between the departure and destination is 75nm or less

A
- Reduces noise in close proximity to the departure end of an airport runway
- Steeper climb initially
- Maintain flaps after 800 ft AAE

A
- Reduces noise more distant from runway
- Steady climb
- Retract flaps after 800 ft AAE

Take off minimum visibility hierarchy
A
- RVR
- Metar
- Tower vis
- Pilot vis
- No hierarchy for non-towered airports

Physical Clearance Requirements
A
- Cross at least 35 ft above the departure end of the runway
- Climb on a runway heading to 400 ft AAE before turning
- Maintain 200 ft per NM climb gradient

Takeoff Alternates
A
-Can takeoff with 1/4 mile if have takeoff alternate
- Must be authorized to do so
- Must have two flight crew members
- Must be within 60 minutes of cruise if only two engines
- 120 if 3 engines
