How many receivers does the GPS have?
2 independent receivers
What does the GPS annunciator light mean without recall?
Failure of both GPS sensor units
What does the GPS annunciator light mean with recall?
Failure of single GPS sensor
What does moving the display selector to TEST do?
Tests all lights in data display
What does HDG/STS indicate?
L window - heading
R window - applicable maintenance status codes
What does pressing an alpha key do?
Arms keyboard for numeric entry to data display
What can the numeric keys be used for with mode selector in ALIGN?
manual entry of PPOS
What can the numeric keys be used for with mode selector in ATT?
permits magnetic heading entry
What does the ON DC light mean and is there a MC?
AC power abnormal, IRS operating on dc power from switched hot battery bus
MC for IRS
If the ON DC light illuminates on the ground, what will also happen?
ground call horn will sound from the nose wheel well
When would a momentary illumination of the ON DC light be expected?
During alignment self test
What will happen if the right IRS is on DC power?
Power will be removed in 5 minutes
What does the DC FAIL light indicate?
DC power for the related IRS is not normal. If all other lights are extinguished, IRS is operating normally on AC power
What does it mean if the Navigation source transfer switch is in NORMAL?
Attitude and heading source is the default IRS
What two systems does the ADIRU use?
Air data system and IRS system. Air data system includes a pitot tube and 2 static ports.
