Flight duty period
Begins when the crew member is required to report for duty and end when the aircraft comes to rest on stand on the last sector
Duty period
Report for duty and end when free of all duties
Home base
Location where crew member starts and ends his duty period or a series of duty periods
Total number of duty hours in a 28 day consecutive period
190 duty hours
FDP can be extended how many times in a 7 consecutive day period

+2 hours unless commander agrees to extend +3 hours for augmented reasons
Minimum rest period at home base
12 hours or the amount of time = to duty period
Minimum rest period away from home base
10 hours or period of duty
Max flight duty period
13 hours - reduced by 30 minutes for each sector above 3
Pilot is no longer able to complete flight duty under no unforseen events how can duty be extended
With inflight rest available
When must there be a senior cabin crew member
When more than one cabin crew required and is nominated by the operator
Total duty periods for:
- 7 consecutive days
- 14 consecutive days
- 28 consecutive days
7 = 60 duty hours
14 = 110 duty hours
28 = 190 duty hours
