What are the duty time you can do in 7 days & 14 days ? And what is the maximum flight time you can do in 28 days and 365 days?
Maximum duty time 7 days = 60 hours 14 days = 100 hours Maximum flight time 28 days = 100 hours 365 days= 1000hours
Sleep opportunity before a flight duty period
you must have at least 8 hours sleep opportunity when
- at home base within 12 hours of commencing a FDP
- away from home within 10 hours of FDP standby
WOCL infringement and early start limits
0500-0659
You may be assigned up to 5 consecutive duty periods with early start provided
- FDP limit on the 4th day is reduced by 2 hours
- FDP limit on the 5th day. is. reduced by 4 hours
WOCL (0200-0559)
3 consecutive WOCL infringements you must have an off duty period over a local night.
You can infringe the WOCL more than 3 times only in accordance with early start provisions
FDP limits
0500-0559 (9 hours) 0600-0759 (10 hours) 0800- 1059 (11 hours 1100-2259 (10 hours) 1400 - 2259 (9 hours) 2300 - 0459 (8 hours)
When can flight training be conducted during the day
Only in the first 7 hours of a FDP
Increase in FDP limits by split duty
Portion of a split FDP that follows a spilt duty rest period either in resting or sleeping accommodation must be no more than 5 hours
Off duty period following a FDP
Where duty does not exceed 12 hours your following of duty must be
- away 10 hours
- home - 12 hours plus 3 hours if traveling west
2 hours if traveling east
Reduction of off duty
If the FDP is less than 10 hours and you complete a flight duty. period away from home base you ODP may be reduced tp 9 hours over a local night
- ODP immediately before your FDP was at least 12 hours and included a local night
- Off duty period following your next FDP will be at least 12 hours including a local night
Resting accommodation
FDP includes split FDP, FDP may be increased by no more than2 hours
Sleeping accommodation
Where FDP contains split rest period of at least 4 hours
The FDP may be increased by 4 hours
First 4 hours of split may be reduced by 2 hours in determining subsequent off duty period
Split 2300-0559
Split duty rest period must be at least 7 hours with sleeping accommodation max FDP must be 15 hours
no reduction in the subsequent off duty period and cumulative duty time provision permitted.
Stand by
- Must not be on standby for longer than 14 hours
- Max FDP after a call out from standby must be decreased by the number of hours where the stand by was exceeded 4 hours
- Stand by that is completed without a call out must be followed by an off duty of 10. hours.
