What does each letter stand for in FIT?
F - - Frequency
I - - Increasing the number of sets and reps
T - - Time
In a workout plan you might see 3 X 10. What does each number mean?
3 - - the number of sets
10- - - the number of repetitions
What is one difference between barbells and dumbbells?
Barbells - - need two hands to lift, and are 45 lbs and higher
Dumbbells - - weight varies and are hand held
How many different muscles make up the biceps?
Two
How many muscles make up the triceps?

How many muscles make up the quadriceps?
Four
How many muscles make up the bicep femoris (or hamstrings)

What are the roles of the spotter?
- Help rack the weight
- Make sure technique and form is correct
- Help aid during exercise
What is spatial awareness?
Being aware of your surroundings
When using an incline bench press what muscle would be considered the protagonist?
Pectorals - - chest
When using a dumbbell curl - what muscle would be considered the protagonist?
Triceps
List some cardio-vascular exercises.
walking, skiing, swimming, hiking, jogging, jumping rope, rowing
