Builds new capital between Giza & Thebes, names it Akhetaten. Period he rules in is known as Amarna Period. Artwork depicts him with elongated form, protruding stomach, feminine features.

Tutankhamun
New Kingdom pharoh, ruled 1332-1322. Originally Tutankhaten. Returns to artistic conventions, returns capital to Thebes. Called “Boy King”, died at 19. His tomb was buried in 3 nested coffins, the innermost coffin made of solid gold. Tomb buried underneath another pharoh. Discovered by Howard Carter in 1922, who dismembered much of body by removing Tut from coffin.
