Who were the Muhajirin?
- Muhajirin or the emigrants were those followers of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who migrated from Makkah to Madinah
What did the prophet describe the muhajirin as?
- The prophet (PBUH) described them as favorites of Allah who will receive a splendid reward.
What does the Quran say about the Muhajirin?
the Quran says:
- “Those who believed, emigrated, and fought in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives are greater in rank in the sight of Allah. And it is those who are the attainers [of success].”
- “God will be well pleased with the first emigrants and helpers and those who followed them in good deeds, and they will be well pleased with Him.”
Who are the Ansars and from which tribes?

- “But those who before them had homes (in Madinah) and had adopted the faith, showed their affection to those came to them for refuge and entertain no desire in their hearts for things given to the emigrants, but gave them preference over themselves even though they themselves were poor.”
Where did the prophet assemble them?

- The prophet assembled them at the house of Anas bin Malik 5 months after migrating to Medina and told them that the Muhajirin had left all their belongings in Makkah and were now penniless and shelterless.
- He, therefore, wanted to create a brotherhood relationship between the Muhajirin and Ansar.
