How do you complete adult CPR?
1) place heel of hand on the patients chest and interlock fingers
2) push down 2-2.5inches at a steady rate of 100-120 compressions a minute
3) after every 30 compressions, pinch patients nose, tilt patients chin up and give 2 rescue breaths
Repeat until help arrives
How do you complete child CPR?
1) tilt there head back and lift chin up. Pinch their nose and cover their mouth and give 5 rescues breaths to start with
2) place heel of one hand onto their chest and push down approximately 2 inches (third of the patients chest) at a rate or 100-120 compressions a minute
3) after every 30 compressions give 2 rescue breaths
Repeat until help arrives
How do you complete infant CPR?
1) tilt there head back and lift chin up. Pinch their nose and cover their mouth and give 5 rescues breaths to start with
2) place 2 fingers in the middle of the chest and push down approximately 1.5 inches (third of patients chest) and complete 100-120 compressions a minute
3) after 30 compressions give 2 rescues breaths
Repeat until help arrives
