exercise: rectus abdominis, internal and external obliques, tranversus abdominis, internal intercoastal
Pulmonary HTN (primary)
Inactivating mutation of BMPR2 gene (normally fx to inhibit vascular smooth muscle prolif) poor prognosis
pulmonary HTN (secondary)
due to COPD, mitral stenosis, recurrent PE, autoimmune disease, left-to-right shunt, leep apnea, high altitude or drugs (fen-phen)
Changes in pulm HTN
reversible: intimal thickening and fibrosis. medial hypertrophy.
irreversible: Plexogenic pulmonary arteriopathy (plexiform changes and angiomatoid lesions)
