What is a FSG
When a caller believes that are unable to leave their premises due to effects of fire and where control officer stays on the line providing advice.
Who determines a FSG
Control and they will make the incident persons reported
When may a call not be treated as FSG
Rubbish fires in bin chutes,stairwell in high rise will attract multiple calls, but not treated as FSG and callers advised to leave flats.
If they start to become affected by the fire they must radial 999 and then a FSG will be made.
What are the 4 principles of FSG
Escape
Assess
Protect
Rescue
Who prioritizes FSG
Control treat all calls the same, unless control manager direct call handlers to terminate call and go to another.
Fire ground will be done by IC and be based on their information gathering.
What must the OIC put in place for a FSG
A dedicated person to deal with all FSG information.
What must the dedicated FSG person do with the information recived
Confirm and repeat back to control
What form is control information recorded on for FSG
