-First one on scene
-Obtain the nearest FX or call for one

What’s the role of the communicator?
Provide accurate information to flight crew on:
-Location
-Source
-Severity
-Crew actions and results
-Passenger reactions
When providing location of fire what should you include?
The areas that are affected
What information should you provide when giving the source?
If known, provide FC with how the fire started and any smells
What’s meant by severity of the fire?
The colour of smoke, density of smoke, the smell and any flames
What’s could you inform the FC in when telling them about crew actions and the results?
-How many Fx were needed (if applicable)
-If the fire has been put out
What’s the last step you should inform the FC on as a communicator?
Passenger reaction
What does the co-ordinator do in a fire fighting drill?
-Remove and control any passengers
-Obtain back up equipment for the fire fighter
-Inform other crew members
-Manage the situation
